NYPD designates mosques as terrorism organizations (Associated Press)

Since 9/11, the NYPD labeled New York mosques and Muslim and Arab organizations as terrorist organizations, targeting them and their members for extensive surveillance. The NYPD opened 15 “Terrorism Enterprise Investigations” that included recording prayer services, meetings and at least one wedding, and attempting to infiltrate their Boards with undercover informants.
