Google Fights U.S. National Security Probe Data Demand (Bloomberg.com)

A federal court issued a ruling allowing Google to reveal that it is the first major communications company to fight against compliance with an FBI issued National Security Letter (NSL) in court. The judge in the case previously ruled that the gag order that comes with an NSL is unconstitutional, and voided the entire statute. The judge stayed that ruling for 90 days to allow the government to appeal.
