BOSTON – The ACLU of Massachusetts supports and applauds Boston Mayor Marty Walsh for vowing to fight for all residents of Boston, whether immigrants or not, and to defy President Trump’s executive order on immigration.

“The ACLU stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Mayor Walsh and other public officials who are willing to stand up to the Trump administration’s unpatriotic, wrongheaded, and unconstitutional executive order,” said Carol Rose, executive director of the ACLU of Massachusetts.

“President Trump’s executive orders reflect a government without conscience,” said Rose. “We stand with those who seek to unify the country behind protecting fundamental rights and liberties. And to the Trump administration officials who seek to do otherwise: we’ll see you in court.”
