ACLU of Georgia Executive Director Andrea Young Applauds Report Calling for Comprehensive Non-discrimination Protections

ATLANTA — Echoing a growing coalition of civil rights, faith and business leaders across the state, American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia executive director Andrea Young today applauded a report commissioned by Georgia Unites Against Discrimination calling for strengthened and comprehensive non-discrimination protections. Young issued the following statement about the report:

“As this report lays out in stark detail, Georgia has some of the weakest nondiscrimination laws in the country. For the sake of all Georgians, this must change. The ACLU of Georgia is proud to stand with a strong and growing coalition of leaders in calling for these long-overdue anti-discrimination protections, including protections for our LGBT community. I applaud Georgia Unites Against Discrimination for commissioning this report, and for their courageous work to ensure equal rights and justice for all.”
