ACLU Comment on Judge Blocking Trump Order to Cut Funding For Sanctuary Cities
WASHINGTON — A federal judge today blocked President Donald Trump’s order to cut off federal funding to cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. American Civil Liberties Union National Political Director Faiz Shakir issued the following statement:
“Once again, the courts have spoken to defend tolerance, diversity and inclusion from the illegal threats of the Trump administration. Once again, Trump has overreached and lost.”
