ACLU Human Rights Program


maya finoh is the Legal Administrative Assistant for the American Civil Liberties Union’s Human Rights Program. Before joining the ACLU, maya interned at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, and the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless. their previous research experience includes studying the history of labor organizing among sex workers in the state of Rhode Island, examining the racialized connections between the prison-industrial complex in the United States and South Africa, and exploring the use of new media in the construction of contemporary Black liberation movements’ policy platforms. maya graduated from Brown University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies and Public Policy.
