Bio

Celso Perez is a Staff Attorney at the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project (IRP). His practice includes litigation and advocacy relating to the enforcement of immigration law. Prior to joining IRP, he was an associate attorney at Kurzban Kurzban Weinger Tetzeli and Pratt, one of the country’s top immigration practices. From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Perez was also a fellow at Human Rights Watch, where his work focused on abuses related to immigration and nationality law in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Perez is a graduate of Boston College and the Yale Law School. He is admitted into the state bars of California, New York, Florida, and D.C. A native of the Dominican Republic, he speaks fluent Spanish, and is conversant in Portuguese.
