Bio

Ashley Johnson is a Legal Fellow in the Women’s Rights Project. During law school, Ashley was an intern at Legal Aid at Work, an online editor of the California Law Review, and a research assistant to Professor Amanda Tyler and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on their book Justice, Justice Thou Shalt Pursue. After her fellowship, she will serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Rosemary S. Pooler of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Valerie E. Caproni of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Ashley worked for several years in creative development in the film industry before leaving entertainment to pursue her passion for gender justice. Ashley received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
