We have received the following sighting of Habeas. Apparently, he was in a White House press briefing!

I was at a White House Press Conference when President Bush was answering questions. Suddenly a sort of greenish, chartreuse man stood without being called upon and said to the President, "I'm Habeus Corpus; why have you tried to 'disappear' me, like i was a Communist in Pinochet's Chile?" The President's answer, "I've never heard of you. i don't know who you are; and anyway, stay seated until we call on you." There was a general outcry from the reporters present and the Presidedent turned to his staff and said "What's going on? What's the big deal about this guy Habeus? I never heard of him before."-Ray Elling, Connecticut
